I'm the graphic designer and lettering artist behind The Lefty Writes. I'm a Texan living in Los Angeles with my husband, Karl and my two boys, Brazos and Murray.
For as long as I can remember I've been obsessed with hand-lettering. As a kid I spent hours writing the same words over and over again, filling up notebook after notebook. Every time we went to the store, I begged my parents to "go down the pencil aisle." The only other aisle that even closely compared was the bread and coffee aisle. smells. so. good.
My creativity journey began in 2016, and let me tell you, having a real excuse to go down the pencil aisle was all I ever wanted. Then I got an iPad in 2017 and my life has never been the same. Before then, I never would have called myself creative. In fact, I was working a very detail-oriented, administrative job. But that seems to be exactly what fueled this new journey.
I love creating typography artwork and logo designs. If you have a project in mind, please reach out! Let's make something pretty together.
